The NEW Caribbean bareboat charter catamaran sailboat, the Salina 48, replaces the highly successful Bahia 46. Built by Fountaine Pajot, this charter bareboat catamaran model has a similar accommodation plan to the Bahia, with four double staterooms plus two bow berths and two singles amidships.   Thus, with room for a family of 10-12, this Salina 48 Caribbean bareboat catamaran is the perfect vessel for a Caribbean yacht charter vacation.

The Salina 48 features a one level cockpit for access to the deck or interior all from the same level. You won’t be climbing over the seats to get to the transom or on deck. The cockpit is covered by a new hard top which offers the ultimate in sun protection and easy access to the boom and sail. All controls are led to raised helm position.

The cockpit and main salon are all on one level and the galley faces aft with a pass through while the chart table faces forward. The cabins are a good size with wide sea portholes and low beds accessible with no step – each has a private bathroom with separate shower.

The yacht has been designed to the most demanding list of specifications by architects Berret/Racoupeau. An extremely capable offshore catamaran, the barefoot charter catamaran is ideally suited to blue water cruising with an emphasis on stability, comfort, safety and spaciousness with all living areas on one level.

Its length (48’/14.30 m) gives it a slender shape with a very low centre of gravity for optimal comfort and safety at sea while its 136 m2 sail plan performs very effectively without any pitch in more choppy conditions.

With a clean and obstacle-free deck, the sailing catamaran affords easy movement and safe handling with an integrated saloon and cockpit that has generous entry access.

There is ample room at the raised helm station to accommodate three people and all maneuvering is conveniently controlled from this one central location.

The vessel has been manufactured with new technology including an infused sandwich composite hull plus a deckhouse molded with new RTM eco-technology.

The catamaran is ideal for convivial entertaining with its social areas comprising a card table facing the sea, an L-shaped kitchen featuring a revolutionary new refrigeration system, an indoor and outdoor dining table plus exterior corner lounge.

A decadent sunbathing deck at the aft of the barefoot charter catamaran, the vessel enjoys exceptional protection from the elements while underway and provides yet another idyllic setting for relaxation.

Each of the cabins boast magnificent sea views from the spacious portholes while the low beds, private bathrooms with separate showers and passageways without thresholds enhance the vessel’s appeal.

The Fountaine Pajot Salina 48 bareboat catamaran sailboat is available for charter in Tortola, BVI (British Virgin Islands, Caribbean).
